Two-Factor Authentication

At GPS, we keep our clients safe with vigilant cyber security on our software platform FXpert. One security feature we offer is the GPS Authenticator app. This two-factor authentication prevents accounts from being accessed maliciously. Please follow the steps below for convenient token generation through the app. Should you experience any issues with this process, please follow the troubleshooting steps at the bottom of the page.

Downloading the Authenticator App

You can download our GPS Authenticator App to your mobile device. This is available for IOS or Android.

First Time Users and Security Pin

Once you've downloaded the GPS Authenticator app, you will use your FXpert username and password to log in. This will prompt a security PIN retrieval email. This email is important to keep. The security PIN allows your credentials to be recognized by a new device. This PIN cannot be reset. However, if it is misplaced, the user can email mysupport@gpsfx.com to request that the PIN be resent via email. This email will come from noreply@gpsfx.com, so please be sure to give permission to this address.

Bio-Metric Scanning

You can set up Bio-Metric scanning on your device to log into the GPS Authenticator app. This feature will be enabled after the initial log in. If you choose to by-pass the Bio-Metric option, reset your password, or re-install the app, you will again need to use the security PIN to log in.

Using Authentication Tokens

Once you have successfully logged into the GPS Authenticator App, you will receive a token. You can press the “Generate New Token” button to refresh for a new token, which will expire the previous one.

Troubleshooting Authenticator App on Device

If you have issues with the app, here are common resolutions to try on your device:

  1. Close and reopen the app: Force the app to close, then open the app to see if it works as expected
  2. Restart your device, then open the app to see if it works as expected
  3. Check for updates on your device
  4. Delete the app, then redownload it
  5. Ensure you are connected to WIFI or cellular data: cellular data should be enabled in the app settings
  6. As VPN may interfere with app function, try connecting with wifi or cellular data
  7. Tokens should be 6 digits long: Ensure that device is scaled to display all 6 digits

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please contact mysupport@gpsfx.com
